Nepal is a sovereign country in South Asia. It is a landlocked country between India and China with diverse geography. The capital and the largest city of Nepal is Kathmandu. It is a multiethnic country. Nepali is the official language. It is known for its mountain peaks. The highest peak of the world Mount Everest is in Nepal. Eight of the 10 highest peaks of the world are in Nepal.


Climatic zones of Nepal are divided into five zones corresponding to the altitudes. They are the tropical and subtropical, temperate zone, cold zone, subarctic zone, and Arctic zone. Nepal also experiences five seasons that are summer, monsoon, autumn, winter, and spring. In winter Himalayas block, cold winds from Central Asia and monsoon wind patterns are formed in the northern limits.
